Program Overview
Paludarium Workshop: Where Land meets Water Design, Build & Take Home Your Own Living Ecosystem is a one-day immersive program designed to introduce participants to the fascinating world of paludariums—self-contained ecosystems that combine both terrestrial and aquatic environments within a single display. The workshop integrates ecological concepts, creative design principles, and practical skills required to construct and maintain thriving miniature ecosystems.
Organized by TiCi NatureLab under the guidance of in-house experienced ecosystem designers and educators, the program offers a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of paludarium creation through both demonstration and hands-on experience. Participants will explore the science behind balanced ecosystems, plant selection, hardscape design, and maintenance techniques while developing their own creative approach to ecosystem building.
The workshop is divided into two interactive sessions. During the first half, experts will conduct a live demonstration showcasing the complete process of designing and constructing a paludarium, explaining each component and technique in detail. In the second half, participants will build their own paludariums under expert guidance, gaining practical experience and personalized support throughout the process.
At the end of the workshop, participants can take home their completed paludariums along with the knowledge required to care for them successfully. The paludarium is chargeable; however, workshop participants will receive an exclusive 25% discount on the total cost of the paludarium.
The workshop includes:
- Expert-led demonstration on paludarium design and construction
- Introduction to paludariums, ecosystem dynamics, and design principles
- Guidance on hardscape selection, substrate preparation, and layout planning
- Demonstration of planting techniques and aquatic-terrestrial integration
- Hands-on paludarium building session for all participants
- One-on-one guidance from TiCi NatureLab experts
- Tips on maintenance, plant care, and long-term ecosystem management
- Interactive discussions and question-and-answer sessions
- All materials and tools provided during the workshop
- Participants take home their self-built paludarium
- Refreshments and Lunch included
Workshop Offers
- Participants will receive a complete paludarium-building experience, expert guidance, a take-home paludarium, and exclusive TiCi NatureLab product coupons valid for a limited period and applicable on selected items as per TiCi NatureLab terms.
